We just received photos and specs for the new Beta two-stroke enduro line. The mainstays are the 250 and 300 RR models, both of which have all new motors built in Italy by Beta. They feature an electric starter which is hidden under the motor, which engineers say will make for a lower center of gravity. They have six-speed gearboxes and case reeds. The powervalve configuration is designed by Beta engineers and is progressive. The frames are chrome-moly steel, similar to those used on the four-stroke enduro line. Like Beta’s four-stroke, fuel delivery is via a conventional carb with no mention of the possibility of EFI in the future. Here are the specs for the 250. The prices will be released later this week.
