FARMINGDALE, N.J. (February 19, 2013) ― Bel-Ray-sponsored Rockstar Energy racers Davi Millsaps and Blake Wharton raced to runner-up positions in their respective classes at round seven of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross series on Saturday night, February 16, in Arlington, Texas.
Following a heat race victory, Millsaps started near the front of the field and was into second place by the fourth lap. He held that position until the end of the twenty-lap main event. His finish extended the point lead over his competitors to twenty-one points.
Team RCH/Bel-Ray racer Broc Tickle scored a tenth-place finish in the main event. Teammate Josh Hill continued his return from injury and finished in seventeenth place.
Despite difficulty in his heat race, Wharton earned his spot into the main event by winning the last-chance qualifier. He took advantage of an excellent start to work into second place on lap two, ultimately riding a consistent, flawless race to take the runner-up spot in the main event.
