MOTOCROSS MX1 WORLD SERIES: IT’S A DOUBLE FOR TONY CAIROLI IN THAILAND! Sidi scores another magical victory
11 March, 2013 -Tony Cairoligave a fantastic performance on Sunday in the ThailandGrand Prix, which qualifies as the second test in the 2013 Motocross World Series. The outstanding pilot from the Sidi riderpool has won his 55th career grand prix race and recaptured the red number plate that distinguishes the leader in the World Series standings.
Cairoli accomplished truly magnificent feat; with an amazing comeback he won race1 and then he also dominated the Super final, which, according to regulations, saw the best 20 riders from MX1and the top 20 from MX2 together in a single heat in this second round of the championship series. It was a victory for Cairoli and a victory for Sidi as well, with its champion as always on the top step of the podium with his Sidi Crossfire 2 boots.
The World Series is just getting started, but the first two races so far have shown a Cairoli in top form and from what we can see he has every intention of aiming for his seventh championship title. The man from Messina (Sicily) now leads the general classification in the World Championship with a 95 point advantage over Desalle, who is in second place with 87 points. Cairoli’s team mate Ken De Dyckers, who also wears Sidi Crossfire 2 boots, also had a great race in Thailand, coming in second in race1 and fifth in the final classification of the grand prix.
