MOTOCROSS: TONY CAIROLI DELIVERS SIDI THE GERMAN GP
29 July, 2013 - Tony Cairoli didn't miss his latest date with the podium in the MX1 class at the German GP. On Sunday at the German racetrack in Lausitzring, Cairoli came in second in race 1 and first in race 2 to capture his tenth season victory, the 63rd of his career.
Keeping the Sidi colors flying high in Germany was also his team mate from KTM Ken De Dycker, who was third in race 2 and also third on the final podium for the grand prix. In the MX1 world standings Cairoli is the master, with 611 points that put him in command with a 108-point advantage over Desalle, who was second in Germany.
Thus continues an extraordinary season for Cairoli, who is well on his way to capturing his seventh title in the company of his Sidi Crosssfire 2 boots, which Tony showed off on the German circuit with a new, attractive, orange and yellow look.
Sidi Sport's success in in Germany was further enhanced by a victory in the EMX125 cadet class by Latvian Pauls Jonass in the European Motocross Championship race, where Jonass also leads the overall rankings.
