RED BULL SPRING CREEK NATIONAL HIGHLIGHT

(7/28/2013)

Just when it seemed like things were getting too predictable in the 450 Class, the Red Bull Spring Creek National turned things upside down. The best race of the season so far, the first moto featured a three-rider breakaway, with Justin Barcia, Trey Canard and James Stewart going head-to-head for their first win of the year. A day full of uncharacteristic mistakes from series points leader Ryan Villopoto ensured that there would finally be a new overall winner this week. The 250 Class has been building up to this week's dramatic showdown between Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac, who arrived at Millville separated by just 1 point in the overall standings. However the battle proved to be anticlimactic, with one rider dominating both motos and the other taking a major blow to their title hopes with one big crash.
