Coming off an OMA Nationals victory a few weeks ago, Moose Racing’s Nick Fahringer made the trip to Marquette, Mich. for Round 6 of the AMA National Enduro Series, also dubbed the “Loose Moose.” Fahringer didn’t disappoint as he charged back from a rocky start to finish strong in second overall. His fifth podium finish of the year helped propel him into a comfortable second overall in the championship standings.
The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series stopped at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pa. for its fourth round. Despite wet conditions leading up to the round, race day had clear skies as Moose Racing’s Phil Nicoletti lined up for the 450MX class. He came on strong in Moto 1 with a hard charging ninth-place finish. In Moto 2, Nicoletti charged back from outside the top 20 to finish 14th. He tied his best overall finish of the season in 11th and now sits 12th in the championship standings.
The EnduroCross Series made its second stop at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif. Several Moose Racing riders were on hand, including northern California native Kacy Martinez. She qualified into the women’s class main event and scored just off the podium in fourth. In the Pro Expert class, Justin Soule qualified straight into the main event from his heat race and ended up eighth on the night. Cody Webb was unable to race after suffering an injury to his foot earlier in the week.
